Hi All.

I am looking for inner and outer boarders for scalextric, The type I want are the white borders with the red triangles painted on.
I need a fair number of outer borders for Rad 2, 3 and 4 curves.
I also need inner borders for rad 1 and 3 corners.
Also some straight borders as well.

I may consider taking the black or green borders if I cannot find the white ones.

I am willing to pay a reasonable amount for these, so please let me know what you have.

pm me if you like.

Cheers 70s_Scalex.

Hi Phil,

As it happens, a couple of months ago I picked up a few of the red & white outer curver borders here downunder, just to see what they were like. Got them pretty cheap as all had lost one, if not both their clips. They can still be attached using normal track clips though, as I tried them out on a 4 lane track last weekend.

Can't say I was that impressed with them, as they seemed a bit more slippery than the normal track, and don't know if I'll bother using them again, but it was sort of too good an offer to pass up at the time, and I had always wanted to see what they were like.

There were 8 outer curve oustide borders, and 2 straight borders, although the straight borders were not as wide as the curved ones, so they may not be from matching sets.

I am building up a list of parts I am hoping you can take with you to that next swap meet in January. Perhaps we can do a swap if you are still looking for them then?

The only thing is it may be a bit costly to send them, because of the weight. I'll try to remember to weigh them in the next few days, to see if its going to be worthwhile. If you don't get any other offers, may still be worth it anyway?

Also, I certainly agree this is a better forum than Yahoo, but as you say, its not as easy to keep track of new topics and such. I think you can set it up to be notified of replies (which reminds me - I'll do that now).

Cheers,

Graeme

Hi,

I have quite a few of the old style boarders. When I up-dated to the newer type a few years ago I put into storage the unused old ones. (I have recently given some to my son and one of his friends for their track!
) I shall check out what I have left and get in touch.

Regards,

Philip

Hi Graeme.

What are the chances of there being two Philip P's on this forum.
Sounds great to me, I have no outer curve inner borders yet.
I have been working on a new layout and will post some pics when I get
to a stage where I am happy with it.
I looked at the new pics on your page, I added some more cars pics to my pages.
I think I have gone al,ost as far as I can now without spending big money on the limited edition cars

Phil.

Hi Matt,

Thanks for the offer, I may need them in the near future as am planning on building a second layout for the rally cars. That will have lots of tight corners.
I will PM my address to you if that is OK.

Phil.
