I see they do Slot it size, but do they say make any for SCX rally wheels and Classic Wheels?

Just out of interest - what kind of performance difference do you find with SCX Escort Mk2 SCX standards vrs your tyres on say Ninco or SCX track surfaces?

I've fitted several sets of WASP tyres to my cars and its a

everytime both for Wayne's service and his tyres.

We ran these tyres at one of the ASSC 6 hour races, the tyres performed fantastic and just got better as the race went on.

I may be slightly biased as I know Wayne, but I got five sets to sort out some Scaley DBR9's & they made a massive difference on the performance. I was getting lap times at least 1.5 second faster than using trued standard tyres.

I bought a Cartrix Ferrari D50 & wanted more grip on the rears, Wayne molded me a set within a few days & they improved the car massively.

I keep meaning to hit him with a big list of tyres to replace all my old SCX cars, ill get round to it one day

I have read the review and found it very interesting and informative, but sadly like NSR tyres they need to be glued onto the wheels, which with me is a no go as I always make a mess with them, however much other club members try to help me! I stick to Slot.It tyres as I find the grip excellent (after a bit of 3 in 1) and have tried Ortmans which are grippier but banned from the club as they apparently take off some of the track grip, but hopefully will be allowed next year as RSSlotracing assure me this is not correct. I have yet to try the new Ninco tyres I saw at Wye Valley, so that is my next quest as I was amazed at the grip some people were getting at the Slot Rally GB event, which a lot seemed to be running the NSR's. The tyres are only recommended to be glued, I didn't ad we ran a six hour race without any issues with the tyres, in fact the wheels fell off before the tyres did.

I must add I have over 100 cars with these on and only 2 of them are glued, I hate gluing tyres. Only the 20 MUST be glued for fast motors on grippy track. I run mainly 40's and 30's at home and dont glue any.

We've just started a one-make Fly Venturi series at our club and Wasp 40 tyres are obligatory (see other thread here. They fit perfectly, look great and perform a bit better than a brand new Fly tyre (and where are you going to find any??). I was running in the new motor at high revs (no load) and the tyres ballooned off the wheels and destroyed themselves on the body. This might not happen at normal axle revs but I'm not going to find out - I've glued them and they just won all 4 races in our first round.

Oh yes - and Wayne gave us a cheap deal on the 24 sets we bought!

when I read that. Been using the same compound to make tires for a few years now....used to supply the guys in the Toronto area...and the club guys from Montreal, as I'm in Eastern Ontario now (Canada...you know the Colonies..

) ....I use the 40 shore for a vast variety of tires to suit members...call the tires "Cupcakes" or "Toffee Tires" because of the shape of my molds and what the tire looks like when poured....very good tires....use them on the flat latex surface of the "Autodrome"...very good....nice to see others discover the process...much less than Ort's...pretty close in results....mine go to friends for $5.00 a pair...good show Mr. Wasp!....have done VIP and old Scaley classic "tractor look" tires...work very well indeed......of course I have a few secrets up my sleeve for good results....shhhhhhno more info for you Mr. Wasp!

I'm chuckling too...all of us "old timers" use Vyta-flex for tires, have for years now. In fact, I thought it was less than a year ago we were all showing "Mr Wasp" how to make his own tires. Now he's a Manufacturer! *grin* See how the slot-wisdom passes from generation to generation? It's a beautiful thing *sigh*

Vytaflex 40 is great polyurethane for tyres, I am using it too. Grip is great with any track. Vytaflex can not quite compete with old-old-grey-dust-Ortmann, but comes close.

I tried a couple of pairs of Wayne's tyres a few weeks ago. I've had 3 more pairs since, and will be getting more at some point. The 40A tyres haven't needed gluing on any of my Scalextric or SCX cars, but I tried one pair of 30A and they did. I found that on my Scalextric Sport track the 30A were too grippy, so I'll be keeping to 40A I think.

Wayne's a sound bloke.

lol You guys did indeed help me get started in this. I was struggling with the poor quality urethane I was using. Glad to hear the Vytaflex is the best stuff. Its hard to get hold of in the UK. I have only found 1 stockist.
So Ferrari there are secrets to urethane grip?? I knew there must be haha. I tend to true them and then "polish" with very fine wet and dry and my secret ingredient............ok, ok its Vaseline. Gives them a nice shine too
