It's hardbody Formula Libre at Oaklands on Wednesday.
This is a class for virtually any hardbody, rubber-tyred 1:32 scale slotcar that you might have in your slotbox. Usually this consists of various scratch-built CSCRA cars and a few of the faster plastic-chassised cars such as Slot. Its and NSR Moslers. I hope to be able to try out the first running of my Corvette L88 for the forthcoming American Trophy open meet.
Feel free to pop along and get a race in with your favourite car. The only rules for the class are
1 - It's nominally a 32nd scale car
2 - The body is "hard" - i.e. plastic, resin, fibreglass not vac-formed lexan, PETG etc.
3 - Tyres are natural rubber, not silicone or foam/fish-type.
We prefer cars to be reasonably complete and painted but since this class is primarily about R&D and shakedowns for classic events we understand that some cars are yet to be finished 100%. We also allow you to chop and change and use as many cars as you want to run. If you are building a CSCRA car for a forthcoming meeting then you should be able to get a good idea of how quick it is or isn't compared to it's peers.
