I'd like to welcome Salvatore Noviello of NSR to SlotForum!

Salvatore hails from Italy and is a multiple ISRA and IMCA World Champion, and manufacturer of NSR slot racing products. NSR manufactures an extensive range of replacement gears, wheels, tyres, inserts, axles, bearings, etc. for Scalextric, Fly, TSRF, Vanquish MG, etc. cars.

NSR's electronic controller is possibly the best available for racing Scalextric type cars and NSR's Air System wheels and revolutionary compound "magnetic" tyres have been setting lap records world-wide.

Kind regards

Russell

Yes, Salvatore is most certainly a worthwhile acquisition : very experienced (you can't beat what in Italy we call a "metal" background), ebullient, a slot racer's slot racer

On the Italia Slot forum, he doesn't mince words - let's see how he comes through here !!

Oh Sh*t !

I hope he likes what I have to say about his products when they arrive then

Welcome Salvatore!

I tried a set of your 'magnetic' tyres and air rims on a ProSlot Toyota that a customer brought in to the track last night.

Evo 3, NSR axle/wheels and rubber on rear only with standard Proslot gearing so far and NO weight or mag.

Amazing is the best word.
Can't wait to set up an Evo 4 version.

Goodmorning!

I thank all users, especially Russell and my italian friend Xslot!
Beppe explain well that I have more difficult to understand and explain in English :)
However, when I will have possibility to connect to Slotforum, I will try to reply in English language (low level of course) to all questions.

Excuse me for bad English, I'm not a teacher, I'm not commercial manager, I only LOVE slot, I race since 1980, I like ALL slot: plastic cars, model cars, slotracing eurosport cars....
I only try to make the best to improve performance of slotcars, my mission is to simplify life of drivers to prepare easy his cars using our products.
Our products are not only for expert drivers; they help especially "normal" people, amateur, people that like to play together their friends... but they like best parts instead of "toys" parts.

I race since 1980 with eurosport cars so it is easy for me to realize special parts with "extreme" slotracing technology to apply to plastic cars, to change "plastic toys cars" in plastic and fast cars :))

We like to help all people, drivers, customers, retailers, without problems.
Also we like to know market (activity, classes, rules) in your countries to offer best choice of NSR products.
We are not still ready in all Countries with national exclusive NSR distributor, so I think now some people could have some difficulties to find our products.
Please do not esitate to inform me, I will be happy to suggest our distributors or we will make our best to supply all you need to prepare your cars.

Best regards.

Swiss, is your collegue a tall man wearing glasses, with 2 children?
I think I met him in the shop, I performed as simultaneous translator for him. He is a very nice gentleman.
Earth is a very small place.

Hi Swiss,

ehm no, I'm not the shop owner, just a client, let's explain the coincidence:

The shop name is "Otello giocattoli" (giocattoli=toys), from the name of the shop owner: Otello Marzi, which is the grandfather of Stefano, the guy in charge for slotcar stuff and owner of our (Sprint's and mine) club.

Otello is just my nickname (from Verdi's Otello), as I'm a great Opera lover, my real name is Marco Benedetti.

Sorry for stealing the scene to Salvatore introduction, but you are not the first one confused by my nickname (Salvatore himself!); fact is I use this nick from the first day I used a modem (back in 1986) and I really do not want to change it.

Ciao
Otello (!)

Aha!

Another mystery solved - thanks Otello.

I remember the first dial ups back in the 80's
- turn Spectrum ZX, ultra slow PC or Amiga on - connect - go make a cup of coffee - go make sure it understood you asked it to connect - go make dinner - eat dinner and watch your favorite film - go see if you can start communicating yet.
