The only Resin cars i have in my collection are models of cars not made by a RTR manufacturere that i realy like. i.e. MG 6R4 by Team Slot.
Do i race them - no - do i put them on a track and have a laugh - yes.
All the replies in this thread are interesting, in the end i think it comes down to collecting or racing.
I have RTR special editions, limited editions, rare one offs, colour variations etc, etc. they cost me a lot more (in some cases) than a brand new Resin car, but there is no way i would race them!
I hava a seperate selection of cars i race and they are not in the showcases!
Why don't i buy 1:43 models of the same cars - i collect slotcars!
(that said i do have a 1:43 model bus with Scalextric printed on the side, but that's just me being a sad nutter!)
Each to their own.
