Hi,

I'm new. I live in the UK. I am here because i need some advice. My husband has always wanted Scalextric and as his 30th birthday is coming up i thought i would get his collection started. Could someone advice me as to what i should buy him? Set? etc I have absolutely no clue and i want it to be a good one. Unfortunately i do not have hundreds to spend but i am willing to spend up to £100 maybe a little over if a set is highly recommended.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Jade.

I think you can not go wrong with a scalextric set, you can easily & cheaply buy additional track pieces at a later date if your husband wants a bigger track. I have just had a look at a few online retailers & this looks good, especially if he likes James Bond ?

Hi Jade, welcome to the forum. I'd second PJF's suggestion of the Scalextric James Bond 007 set, catalog number C1254. It is an excellent starter set. Not too big, not too small, and reasonably priced. The cars look great, drive beautifully, and are very durable. As a bonus, one of the cars in the set, the older classic style Aston Martin DB5 from the James Bond movie, Goldfinger, is a bit of a collectible item already, and would be a good start to his collection.
