Tyneside Slot Car Club: What we race…
For anyone living in the Tyneside area of North East England and interested in joining a local slot car club, here is a little information about the types of cars and classes we currently run at the club.
Pre 1980 Classic saloons
Can be box standard ie Scalextric; SCX; NSR etc; kit or scratchbuilt (plastic; resin or fibreglass bodies). Motor is limited to 22K; tyres should be of rubber compound or Ortmann.

Modern Saloons (1980 to present day)

We race on a 4 lane 20' x 8' MDF routed track and rally on a MDF routed special stage rally course.
Slot car racing is a hobby with endless creative possibilities. The club encourages and supports its members in all aspects including; preparing box standard cars; building & tuning your own cars; creating your own realistic track scenery.
We're a friendly club and share a passion for all things slot. There are plenty of members always happy to provide advice and guidance to anyone returning, or new to the hobby.
