Another fantastic beta test file from @nimrod444 .
From scratch, the Mirage M6 longtail coupe.
A stunning car in my opinion.

It needs a few tweaks but it is too pretty not to share.

Lovely indeed 👌🏼
Can I pre order :D
Saw the car at Watkins Glen years ago fitted with a Cossie instead of the Weslake V12 , I think it now resides in the UK as part of the ROFGO collection.

Printed the revised file. Better panel lines, revised profile behind the rear wheels, lower greenhouse. Matches the photos now.
Pretty happy to have two.

That looks great, amazing how those little bits help with the overall look of the car.

Came across this 1/12 scale Porsche 936 kit on cults:1/12 scale porsche 936
I built up the "kit" using Tinkercad and shrunk in the slicer for printing , the body thickness came out around 0.6mm but its nicely framed in for strength.
Also cut away the unwanted parts of the tub section.

Nice print mate👌🏼
Nice print mate👌🏼
Thanks, Ive had a lot of failed prints recently and discovered it was a temperature problem due to the printer being close to the air con system.
I got a cheap little heater from Amazon and now problem is solved :)

I have been building a car for some time now and the last obstacle was there was not enough room for the rear tyres,i turned them down but then hit another problem, crown was touching down. After some thought i decided to venture a small crown and pinion set and it worked. The crown is 27z 13.7 diameter and the pinion is 9z for 1.5 dia shaft

Comparison to a slot.it crown

For some time now I've been printing stands for my slot cars to keep the tyres of the ground and to tilt the rear of the car up a bit to improve the front on view.

Light Road surface Rectangle Tile flooring Line

The photo shows my longest and middle stands, there is an even shorter one. However there is a problem, when I want a long one I've only got short or medium and when I need a medium only long ones.

The solution... an adjustable two part stand. The two parts are an interference fit but can be glued if required.

The photo shows the default short and long lengths but by cutting both parts you can go shorter if required., In theory the stand can by just a bit longer than the cars guide 😁 but not recommended.

This shows the parts from both sides, the top one has been trimmed in length.

The file is free for all

adjustable stand.txt

I had to change the stl extension to txt to allow it to be attached, after downloading just change it back to stl.
The front part prints with the guide slot up and the rear part prints sitting on the raised stand so no supports are required
