Yes before anyone starts I kow it's a blob body. Bought this body shell ready painted and liveried at the BRSCA Nationals because it looked nice. After getting it home I realised there was something wrong with it. What's wrong ?
PS, New camera so I hope no more blurred pics.
I don't think at any point Montoya1 has tried to claim any different, which is why, like the rest of this thread, the above post is complete, pointless, garbage. But, as you say "Each to his own".
QUOTE (Bigtone @ 6 Sep 2012, 17:41) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Well Montoya it would be unusual for you to miss an opportunity. Your favoured HO F1 cars you could hardly call scale and a lot of the time are just the same car with a different livery. Though the latest releases they are making an effort. Each to his own.
I think it is fairly helpful, when one is a BSCRA-ite (or, indeed, a fan of HO) to have a sense of humour about the things others might choose to have a mild bit of fun at your expense over.
The whole 'how dare you knock my thing when yours in lame' schtick is not really the right way to respond, IMHO.
Why, whenever a "Blob" bodied thing turns up for discussion does it always turn into a slanging match? There are HO scale blobs, 1:24 scale blobs, 1:32 blobs, by all sorts of manufactures (even Scalextric!) and they all have one thing in common. They're all built for speed. And all of them look ****e. Ok, two things in common. Not my taste and I think you'll find that that is the first time I've expressed any sort of opinion on blobs one way or the other. I've owned some myself in the past, but it's just not my thing. Now can we all just start and appreciate each others "thing" and get on with it? I love you all!
As usual it seems acceptable and all too easy to mock BSCRA type cars and every opportunity is taken by some. Dare to defend them or say something about other types of racing and the roof falls in. If you criticise something you should expect a riposte.
Anyone want to hold the coats.
QUOTE (ravajack @ 7 Sep 2012, 03:27) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Mudwrestling aside, has anyone yet found out what's wrong with the car?
Further back in the post.
Lads not really knowing what an HO slot car is i had a set which i bought at Toys are us a long ,long time ago it was in a sale and i think it was called Aurora or something like that would that have been HO i think it had a couple of escort rally cars i am not sure as i bought a couple of cars seperate in the sale would one have been a B.M.W a lexan blob type painted shell there was a Ferrari FI & i think a Tyrell 6 wheeler i remember it was very fast and the cats had plenty of fun chasing the cars and knocking them off , i think it may still be around somewhere i'll have to hunt it down, as regards the car is it a Ferrari ? Keith.
I guess that depends on how you define 'good', and therefore 'bad'. Or 'well intentioned'. If you take it too far and reduce the forum to simpering platitudes and pats on the head it loses something, IMHO.
The bashing of Scalextric and the comments about this thread elsewhere cross that line you are talking about, but this thread itself does not, IMHO.
Well i hope people can use some common sense,
this thread is no problem and was started with a good will.
Some people crossed the line here and on a other thread that has been locked.
We should all respect each and others love-fun-toys-opinions,
and when replying or giving an opinion take other peoples feeling into account.
Constructive criticism is a good thing, outright nasty criticism people should keep to themselves or in PM.
That's just my opinion though.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could
be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
