Looking to see who upgraded a Scalextric 1969 mustang C3107. What wheels , tires, motor and guide did you use?

Same question for a Scalextric Carsonic C2637

Is there a section that shows wheel, motor and tire sizes that people have upgraded?

Depending where you live there are various options.

In general though people usually replace the plastic bushings with either race ball bearings or bronze ones.

Metal axles and wheels are also common.

Putting either poly urethane or silicone tires will all make the car run much more smoothly.

Changing gearing and the motor really depend on what type of track you are running on...

I have just upgraded some Scalex cars for someone for a routed track but they had to keep the standard motor. Kept the front wheels and tyres but glued and trued them and them, varnished them. The back axle was replaced using a Slot.it axle, wheels and F22 tyres, brass bearings and 25 tooth gear and deep wood track guide. Again the wheels and tyres were trued and glued. Removed all the original wiring including lights and used a silicone lead wire. The motor was hot glued in, lead added behind the guide, the chassis was shaved to allow body rock. He won his first race with one of the cars
