My family and I are taking a trip to Germany next month from the US and I was wounding if anyone could give me some names and locations of some Hobby Shops that have slot cars.

Hi Jeff!
We do have some shops over here. Where are you going? Germany might be much smaller than the USA, but I guess travelling 500 miles for a shop might be a little bit too far. Even if you are used to american distances ;-)

We are starting in Cologne, staying with friends in Hamberg going to Berlin, Nuremberg, Dachau for sure. We will be there for three weeks and have a 10 day rail pass. So anywhere around those cities. Thanks for your help.

There's a shop called Slot 32 in Koln. It is run by a guy called Luc Fieuw. He has a web-site www.slot32.de which would give address details etc.

Trains aren't a bad way to travel the country, but you'll be doing a lot of walking between main stations and slot stores if you don't have a car, as Ralf has already suggested. I don't have a car but, in my experience, most German cities have good tram and bus links and you can get travel cards easily and relatively cheaply.
Check out RK Slot Car Store if your travels take you near Bottrop - not only can you stock up, you can test your purchases our on their excellent in-store circuit!
