If you decide to go down the Prof Motor controller route then you will find they are not easy to get hold of from the UK. When I sourced mine I went to the manafacturer in US but you need to account for postage and import duties (17.5% vat plus post office £10 surcharge - you might not get caught).

I advised GetSlotted (based in B'ham so not too far away from oxford) to stock them and they bought in a load of the PM standard Scaly/Nicnco controllers so now you can get them in the UK.
