Hello,

a friend of mine is thinking about converting his analog track into a digital one. i tried to persuade him to change to 1:32 SSD, but he seems to be very loyal.

Best way seems to be buying a Go digital set. But they come with two different lane changers: 1 x-changer or a left- and a right-changer.

The question is: Which one is the best choice? AND: Thinking about buying one aditional changer: what is more fun according to playability - 2 x-changers or 1 xchanger and those to left-right pieces?

I hope I could describe the problem.

Cheers!

there are sets with double lane changers. I prefer those. Maybe the single lane changers are better for pit sections.

Best to get a double lane changer set and then expand from there. I use 2 double and 2 doubles and 3 singles on 72 feet of layout with 2 singles (Left to Right) in the pit lane. Pit access is via a mechanical lane changer converted to digital. On here somewhere i posted a tutorial on the conversion.
