Now I'll have to change to winter tyres though

Now that is what I call snow! The chances of us getting a scene like that in the UK are about the same as me being able to afford to convert all my existing cars to Scalextric digital!

I can't remember the last time we had snow in Sunny Southend on Sea.

This picture was taken on New Years Eve 1979. We were driving back from lunch in a country pub, we had set out in fairly clear weather and while in the pub for about two hours it started to snow heavily, on the approach to this village on the way home we came across this police mini stuck in a drift.

It's me shovelling the snow in front of the police car, I had a spade in the boot - he hadn't - with the policeman watching me! If I hadn't I wouldn't have got anywhere with his car blocking my car in.

We don't get winters in the South like this anymore.

We've had snow on the ground for about 3 weeks now. When I went to the new house on Friday, the stuff was up to my knees in the shallow spots, up to my <censored> in the deep spots!

When I got up this morning it was -26C, -35C with wind chill.

What it should do at Christmas is snow on Christmas Eve and melt on Boxing Day!

I'll gladly box this stuff up and ship it to wherever! Hmmm.... no, wait.... maybe I can eBay it!

I haven't polished the car since this summer, but spent many good hours back then! It hasn't been used very much lately, so a quick wash is usually enough to give it a decent shine.
The rims on the car are Momo Sport. They will be swapped with the standard BBS rims when I get around to putting on the winter tyres one of the coming days...
