Hi all.
Question. Is anybody running UR30 on a Windows 7 64bit system, using LPT1, 5mm bright white LED with 3mm LED detector.
I have given up with the USB Game pad. just is not consistent. The way Windows loops between the USB ports, UR30 misses a lot of counts.
So, switched to LPT1. Problem. Using pins 25 gnd, 12 and 13. UR30 shows a green, high state. with nothing connected to it. Connected, state does not change.
LPT1 prints to a printer for me, no problems there. LPT shows up in Device Manager as working. Tried Normal, ECP and Bi.
UR30 sees the port address as 0x378. Cable I have made up has continuity with all pin outs.
But UR30 does not register anything from LPT1.
I have also made up the circuit for Enhanced Slot Car Sensor. Makes no difference.

Any ideas guys?

LPT1 works. System and 7 see it.
UR30 on Windows 7 64bit in Compatibility mode Windows XP SP3 ???????
All works fine on my sons XP system. But not feasible to use that system for the Skid Pan.

Back to the Question.

Thanks for reading. Andy

Yes Sy, i agree. I'm using UR30's 'Enhanced Slot Car Sensor'. As I say, works fine on an XP system. Same set-up, on 7, Zippo.
The home track, has the same set-up, apart from the 'Enhanced Slot Car Sensor'. Just straight through from sensors to PC to UR30. Never misses a beat.
Without moving the 7 system and all from one room to the other. Which I may do. I cannot check if the home system will run UR30 on 7. I think I'll check that tomorrow.
