Do you guys like wheels that are well designed, impeccably made, possibly lighter and certainly truer than plastic wheels we usually get in RTRcars?
Well look at this Lamborghini Countach inspired Slotline wheels from Denmark:

It would be nice to have more information about this particular design.
Best regards

could you explain if your design makes those wheels dynamically balanced?
And are those "teeths" in the center of the hub designed to sort of "bite" the tire better and perhaps not having to glue it ?
How many grams are they weighting?
Thanks
Edo

unfortunately the're only for 1/32 scale

I have done a lot of testing (have had it done by others) and the wheels are making any car faster, we have measured so far.
Dynamically balanced, I hope i understand it correct, when I answer I dont know.
An Engineer I know told me about some calculations he had made on the wheels, which came out very positive.
The teeth is a gimmick, but it keeps the rubbers in place, but will be removed on the next series. The best way to remove weigt, is where there is most material, and that was why i added the teeths.
I not concerned about weight, but a lot of buyers are, so I had to do something

I think the bigger wheels for rear is weighing 2.4grammes, but its so long since i weighted them, so i dont remember.
Weight of wheels are important on 1:1 cars, and on multiadjustable chassis like Plafit Excel and MoMo, but not on 1:32 plastic chassis cars, as long as they are below ???? (i guess 5 grammes)

I have made this design on 1:24 scale wheels, and they look REALLY good on cars.

I hope that covers your questions ?
Have a nice weekend.

Hi Kai!
Thanks for your beautiful rims. they really look fantastic!
Do you glue the tires on rims? I'm asking this because I don't know how fix the back (big) rimes on axle when the tires are glued. Do you make a hole in a tire?
Have a nice time,

That should save some weight, and I don't see it doing much in the way of supporting the tyre.

We tried that first but indeed, the center of the tire was caving in, causing the edges to run off-round. May be a Schroeder valve and a bit of helium...

Or not: in the 1960's MRRC actually made ridged wheels with "air" tires. What happened is that the "semi-pneumatic" tires were only wearing on their edges, the whole mess providing poorer traction than that of standard wheels and tires.

Danish craftsmanship has always maintained the highest quality possible. Especially regarding woodwork. It pleases me to see that they are not short coming when crafting in metal too…

First class Kai…very nice.

NSR have done it, an even been giving the system a name, but the tires are not supported good enough (my opinion).

Hi all; yes I was at the Italian Championship last week. Pictures of the track are on the Italiaslot site; there were 80 pilots; in one event we raced Fly classic ( Porsche 908/917/Ferrari ) and Racer Ferrari and the winner was a team mate of Salvatore Noviello, owner of NSR; the organizers gave the same NSR Ultragrip tyres and Airsystem wheels to all.
Another event was called DTM and there were Ninco BMW and Mercedes CLK, all with Ninco tyres; most of all had also NSR Airsystem big wheels and the winner was another team mate of Salvatore. The final race was called GTLight, and the models were Fly Porsche Evo and Slot It Audi R8; Salvatore won this race himself, with his tyres and his Air wheels. What I can say? NSR Air wheels are obviously good, and a step toward victory; but I too had them, and my results were very very low.

So, in the end, also your finger counts something and Salvatore and his friends are among the best.

Hi Sprint
I was wondering if you guys have Ortmann's tires in Italy.
I think they could be a nice competition to NSR's (and Slot.it).
I personally use Ortmann's on Carrera track and on it I find them sensibly better than NSR's Magnetic and Slot.it P3's (which I also have on my cars).
Thing is that Carrera is not as widely used as Ninco and Polystil in Italy and I wonder how Ortmann's behave on those surfaces. Any chance of a show down between the 3?
Best regards

Hi all!

Just wanna add that I've been using Kais wheels on my Pro Slot Toyota for quite some time now and it runs like a dream

Especially the edge "hawks" (??) are brilliant so you dont have to glue the tires.
