Has anyone ever made a homemade working pitlane with plastic track? i.e. Ninco, Scalextric, etc.

i love that track, the story that goes with it is great too. how do the lane changers work? theres no switches like the classic scalextric ones?
Thanks Taxi. That's just what I was looking for. Here is the Website for the tutorial on how to make a homemade pit lane. Click Basteltips, then Streckenteile, then Boxengasse.

It looks fantastic from the photos but unfortunately after achtung my German is non-existent. Is there anyway to get this translated?
Try google.com, click on 'language tools' and then enter the url of the site you want translated and the language you want the text translated from and to.

Cheers

Mark
You would think that one of the big manufacturers would remake a pitlane for their systems.

I know digital is going to get one for scalextric but not everyone has or is going to get digital.

The price they go for on ebay is ridiculous.

Gareth
Hallo.

I built the pitlane on Thomas website and wrote the article for it.
If I can help you with a short explanation of something...please ask me.

The same article is on My Webpage.
And in the "Wartezimmer" you can see pictures of the newer drive mechanism with RadioControl-Servo-Units.

Sometimes I thought about a english version of the homepage, but I think every native speaker will laugh about my bad english

Roland,
As an Englishman who has been living expatriate in several countries for the total last 24 years, I never cease to be amazed and humbled at the ability of every other nationality to master the strange inconsistencies of the English Language.
Measure that against the average monolingual Brit (McLaren excluded, I was impressed by his French
) and you need never be shy. Well, in any case, you couldn't do worse than Skeeter

Go for it, give us your English translation.

Cheers, Tom (monolingual)

Roland,

I would greatly appreciate it if you could translate and it looks like quite a few others would as well. I tried the language tools on Google and it will translate some of the pages but it will not translate the pit lane page for some reason on both yours or Thomas's websites. Both of the websites look like they have loads of great info.

Thanks anyway,

French isn't the language that Andy is renowned for where I race ...
Lowrider.
Roland,

If translating the entire page is a bit much, how about a run down on the switch and electrical setup?

Well, here is a start. A very rough one, but a start. I thought I would practice on the old Scaley before I hack up the Ninco.

Lowrider: Am I reknowned for anything anymore?

I thought I'd have been forgotten by now...

This looks very interesting...

I've been playing in my mind with something like that too...
But my problem is, that the rails would have to be much closer to eachoter...
To be able to enter the pits on allmost one line, and the pits is in wood, so I'll have to find a way to put the plastic track and the wood together...

I'll post a picture tonight with what I mean...

Cheers...

Gunther
It looks good, but how do you get the flipper to work???
