I have one on an incline and on a decline and they work fine, only issue on the incline is if the XLC track piece is located at the start of the incline and there is a noticable kink upward at the track joins. I reckon the extra bit of elevation allowed a guide to rub on the sensor and break it
but I've learnt that lesson now so all is OK.
