I have spent weeks trying to get good lap speeds with pace cars .. they were forever de-slotting..... but today I found the KEY to all my problems & I'm sure a few people on the forum have mentioned this previously.

Sanding the Tyres makes a huge difference..

" I went for a stroll to a local hardware store and purchased some sandpaper (P240) came home and sanded back all the tyres on every car... WOW amazing difference !

Now my pace cars all run great... even with variable throttle on. I can get the lap times down by an extra 2.5 sec. !!!! Normal laps were around 9sec. before.

So if anyone is having issues with pace cars ... before you do anything else make sure you use sand paper to roughen up the rear tyres.

A good method is to cut and glue the paper to an old plastic bank card... then place the card on the track, put a rubber band around the throttle trigger to hold it at 100 % and then gently lower the rear wheels onto the sand paper... keep the wheels level as possible on the paper.. I also place a piece of paper behind the car on the track to catch any fine rubber that is thrown backwards as the wheel spins.

This simple tip is such a key procedure when undertaking the setup procedures for SSDC pace cars. "

NOW ALL MY PACE CARS FLY... Let the race begin !!!!!!

ha-ha ... hhmmm .. don't know mate .. maybe watchn too much Youtube.. not !!

thanks for all the tips guys. Now my only issue seems to be keeping up with em, they just keep lapping me .. Aaahh !!

I'm guessing that all comes down to me still being a learner driver. Well, at least I finally finished handing out tea and biscuits.. that's gotta be a plus.. right ??

I set up my pace cars with magnets & I'm running magless. Sure are hard little buggers to catch !!

I also changed a few of the audio files in SSDC.. now i have thundering v8s blasting down the main straight .. yehaaa !!
