Most motor racing folk look back to their favourite eras from time to time because we have brains that store memories. Like all 'disciplines' motor sport, in all its forms, has gone through highs and lows, but even during troughs, we can often reflect on something that has been stored in our minds with affection.

As usual your views and images will always be of great interest. And thanks.

The 'cut-away' Cozzie made for a TV advertising campaign aimed at promoting Duckham's oil. 'Twas a good car but, in roadgoing form, just cried out for more power.

The photo of the Beetle and a suspiciously very clean JCB looks like it may be an advert for JCB. It's certainly a good photo showing the strength of either vehicle.

Shows the power of hydraulics in a good way. :)
A small town near the former border between West and East Germany during the 1960s. They were days of the Cold War when sundry governments got irritable and uptight with each other.

Things have changed since but I've still got my Beetle.

Yes, Henk, which is correct.
