Hello all!

Here's my second lockdown project!

It's an old Teamslot Zakspeed Escort body on a Penelope Pitlane Competition chassis built to run in SMSRC's Thunder Saloons class.

It's also my first foray into floating side pans so I'm looking forward to seeing how it runs (if we're ever allowed!)

I hope you like it

Very nice indeed great work on both the body and chassis. That would be a great addition to any collection. Thanks for sharing

Dave,

It looks amazing! Like a rocket!

Nice wheels, tires, and inserts too.

@MrModifier, thank you for the kind words!

@PETER GUNN, cheers! I thought it should be fat and low to be a proper Zakspeed!

@Yazoo, cheers Mike!

@KensRedZed, haha thanks! Another rocket I was really happy with how the inserts turned out. I wanted to put a load of dish in the rears to get that aggressive Group 5 look

Hi Eric!

Lovely to hear from you. I hope you've been keeping well over the last strange year and since I last saw you!

I'm looking forward to seeing it go too and just seeing the club in general.

Stay safe and I hope to see you soon ☺

El traductor me traduce esta frase como: "También es mi primera incursión en las bandejas laterales flotantes..."

Supongo que te refieres a los pasos de rueda (aletas). ¿¿??

The translator translates this sentence for me as: "floating trays"

I assume you mean the wheel arches (fins). ¿¿??

Hi Frederic. As I understand it, the 'pans', or 'side pans' are the flat sections either side of the central motor mount section which attach to the body shell. The idea is to allow the body to move almost independently of the chassis. Or at least that's my theory!

@SuperSlab, thanks very much!
