There's been a fair amount of interest in some of the JGTC/Super GT repaints I've been doing and I thought that maybe some of you might be interested in seeing the entire collection. So here goes…
Honda NSX
Epson - Ninco
Autobacs - Ninco
Ebbro - Ninco
Raybrig - Ninco
Direzza - Ninco
Loctite - reliveried Ninco
Rolling Stone - reliveried Ninco
Takata - Scalextric
Raybrig - Cartrix
Mobil - Cartrix
Takata - Cartrix
Nissan Skyline GTR
Calsonic - Scalextric
Pennzoil - Scalextric
Xanavi - Scalextric
Xanavi Hiroto - Scalextric
Zexel Loctite - reliveried Scalextric
Daishin - reliveried Scalextric (based on a Sylvia livery)
Top Secret - reliveried Scalextric (fantasy livery, based on show car)
Great Collection Taxi! I love what you have done with those Ninco Moslers! Very Nice.
If I could be so bold as to suggest a couple more cars that you need to do, they would be;
A couple more Long Tail - McLaren F1 GTRs
I would also like to see a White Lamborghini Murcielago and maybe even a white Lamborghini Diablo!
What about a Cartix Porsche Boxter???
Or what about a Taisan Dodge Viper (simplar black and red livery like the F40 and the Ninco 911)
Or... you can tell me to take a hike!
Seriously, I love it when people specialize in their hobby and they completests in their chosen fields.
To me this JGTC collection rivals the Scandinavian boys 1970 LeMans collections!
Thanks for sharing
Gordo (Ferrari Guy) Bond 007
P.S. I think there is also one more Ninco Lamborghini Gallardo that you need to complete the collection.
Thanks Gordo - your comments and suggestions are most welcome
I'm kinda hoping that Slot.It will produce at least one of the JGTC McLarens, hopefully the Yellow Corn livery. And I think the Ninco Murciélagos will be prime candidates for repaints when they arrive, don't you? I'd like to try the Taisan Viper but I'm struggling to find decent reference pics - any ideas?
QUOTE Have a look at this rather plain looking DBR9
mmmmm. I like that! Can't wait to see it if you do end up doing it Rob.
Love the repaints, I agree with Gordo, its good to see people specialising in one area of the hobby.

Taxi
I would love to see Slot.it do this car too. Unfortunately, or fortunately, some time ago, Maurizio got me to email him a bunch of pics of that all yellow version that you have already done.
I'm not saying that they will make the all yellow one, but it was the last livery for this particular McLaren F1 chassis, and Big M did seem rather interested in it.
Didn't FLY anounce a Lamborghini Diablo????
Autoart or old Scalextric are your current choices.

cannot agree more.
Great great work,
love the miurcelago, the reliveried Porsche too, choice of wheels and those huuuge aerials !
QUOTE (Gordo Bond 007 @ 30 Jul 2009, 18:21) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Not 100% sure if this car ran in the JGTC, but I believe it did! Possible HPI Conversion????
Gordo
Technically speaking, no it didnt, it was a JTCC car, when this folded the manufacturers turned to Super GT
Andy and Gordo, like the idea of doing a couple of Boxsters but weren't the Cartrix ones all open cabrios? Someone used to do a nice (but v expensive) Boxster GT hardtop but they don't seem to be available any more and were out of my price range anyway. And I really, really don't like the Scaley ones, horrid little things. Great turn of phrase Andy, I'll have to remember that one!!
Aston Man, thanks, glad you like 'em. I have a SCX DBR9 sitting around doing nothing so it's only a matter of time I suppose...!!
slot-breizh, thanks for the kind words
The aerial is a bit clunky, it's a spare from a Scalextric 350Z. It's rubber so I can't break it but it is a little over-scale I think!
Gordo, you're gonna keep me busy for months!! Thanks for the Viper pics, very much appreciated. I like the blue/red combo - definitely one for the wish list! I like the Taisan Skyline too even though it's not a 'proper' JGTC car, and strangely enough I recently got a HPI Skyline... The M3 is tempting too - I just want 'em all!
Funny you should mention the Subaru. Andy (Pace1970) came to mine for an evening's racing last week and we were discussing the same car and racking our brains trying to think if anyone makes a 2-door 'mk2' Imprezza. The answer we came to was 'no' though I'd love to be proved wrong. Using a 4-door wouldn't be too bad but it would be nice to get the right base car if possible.
Ed, thanks for the info
Ray, it's all Gordo's fault!! Late in 2005 he posted some pics of some cars he and Iceman had been working on, including the black Murcielago. I bought decals from Iceman and posted pics of the finished car on SF in Feb 06. Started buying the Ninco and Scalextric JGTC cars as fast as I could afford 'em and then started making my own decals in May 07. And the madness continues....

Nope, there was a red one with a canvas roof which could probably be smoothened to look like a hard top. They also did a burgundy red hard-top

I believe it was a company called PRS, it was a resin bodied car, very nice but if memory serves me right it cost the otherside of £100.
I have looked on and enjoyed your liveries over the last couple of years and have to say they get better and better. Having no knowledge at all of JGTC how many of these cars are actual and how many are fantasy. Other questions might follow !!
I cannot believe that you haven't got over- JGTC'd yet. Don't you ever feel the need to have a change and do something totally different.
I like 'em because there's such a variety of cars and liveries, there always seems to be something else that catches my interest. Every now and then I'll do something different but I keep coming back to these.
There are a few fantasy liveries in the mix - the Zonda is a total fabrication. The Daishin Skyline is based on a Sylvia livery, but the two cars look similar enough to almost make it excusable. The real Top Secret Skyline and Supra are highly modified road cars, not racers. The purple AutoArt Porsche is a fantasy livery, very loosely based on a 90's JGTC car. The Aston never ran in those colours, the livery is based on a Porsche GT. The Ascari hasn't (yet?) competed in this series, the livery is borrowed from a Lexus SC430.
I think that's it!!
cheers,
Rob
