I got myself a Staffs 0.9mm allen (hex) key the other week. It was great, right up to the point when it snapped. I didn't think I was being hard on it, but I must have been.
My question is, is a very gentle 'nip' enough to hold a 0.9mm gear or wheels on, or do they need a little more?
Maybe I'm over estimating how much force goes through wheels and gears?
