These mysterious connectors were discussed here quite some time ago and we actually were able to find an electronics place (in think in the US?) that sold these online. I tried doing a quick search, but couldn't find it.

 

I am not sure that you can buy them? Its an offset RJ11 6/4

Someone who might know is Maurizio at Slot.it. They will have had to scource some for their new controller.

...and as I posted in that thread, my wonderful wife bought me some wireless controllers for my b-day that year, so I didn't go any further with it.

Why's that?

Wireless is actually one of Carrera's better products and generally trouble free. You also get the added bonus that the controllers are somewhat more sensitive than the wired ones.

 

I use wireless controllers exclusively now. Also, you can use both the digital & analogue wireless controllers with Pro-X. I see the wireless set (2 controllers & receiver tower) on eBay for $60-$80 quite often nowadays.

 

Hey guys,
the easiest solution is cut off 3 or 4 inches of the plug, then hardwiew the plug to your layout or black box. Then you can use standard phone jacks around your layout, and crimp standard phone jacks on your controllers. Simple and works great. I'm out of town for another couple of weeks, but I will post pics of my driverstations....they look very professional, plus its a very cost effective solution.
