Deciduous tree making tutorial

As ever, great information. Thankyou. While I won't be making deciduous trees I will be working on some gums. The method should be similar, just the placement and amounts different (I hope). At the moment I've got some ok looking dead gums. Hopefully with the help of your tutorial I can bring some of them back to life.

Ummm... 30-45 minutes per tree and how many trees at Prairie Ridge so far???

Cheers

Good move Leo. I used it for the basis of my eucalypts on Tyers Targa with a different trunk/armature. It can be used for almost any style of non-coniferous tree.

Leo, mine are done with wire (not copper due to price). They've then been plumped up with hot glue to thicken them up and coated with plasterers joint compound.

I'm also trying one that is done with a wire armature and then wrapped with sisal string to thicken it up. It looks good currently, but is yet to be coated in joint compound. The next experiment is to break out the Das Pronto on a wire and plastic tube armature to see if it makes for a good hollow tree.
