The Scaly Viper I have has a bent spring drive shaft that wobbles the car of the track and of course slows it down, what I am looking for is a replacement or an alternative, or any helpful suggestion
Thanks Mike

I have the same car. I haven't had any replacement needs as of yet, but I saw a post on one of the forums, and a few people use 18 gauge wire casing, and said it actually works better than the original spring. Just pull out the wire, and slip it in place of the spring. Hope it works.
Slot city will sell you a replacement motor with the spring assembly and the rear carrier bearing... for about ÂŁ7.
I have severaal vipers and not found them to be a problem... have you checked that the rear shaft "bearing" that clips into the mount is not worn and sloppy.. if there is play there just replace the plastic bearing and should help the issue.
Baby buds (also known as Q-Tips) have a hollow shaft of exactly the right diameter to fit over the metal shafts. Try it. It really works, and is very easy to do.
