I trust I haven't worn out my welcome. Please help.
I am trying to build a permanant plastic track (SCX and Sport) and it seems making a fool of myself from time to time.
Twice in six months, the track has shorted slowing down cars, etc etc. Vacuuming the track did not help and I had to lift up the track sections and then reinstall.
Time ONE, one of the joiners had ripped out a piece of braid and imbedded it in the track.
Time TWO, I had stuck household wrapping foil to get better connectivity and one piece had been sucked out or ripped out and imbedded between the tracks.
Its no big deal because I can rip out the track from time to time to enliven my sundays with some spiritually uplifting cursing but it does mean I cannot glue the track to the trackbase and fill the gap so that I get a continuous terrain.
I'm sort of afraid to ask but is there a fix for this?
Many thanks in advance.
