I have a few spots on my track that dont want to stay fully connected. I saw these clips that say they are for older Carrera tracks but can be used on newer track to hold problem tracks together.

Anyone have any experience with these clips on new Carrera tracks?

Those clips don't work on the newer track, only the older style track. Are you using the red connection clips with the right side down? The indentation on the ends of the clip should be facing down so they click in place. Also, for the clips to hold the track joint together, the red connection clips need to be centered over the joint.

If you use them with the wrong side down, then they don't really hold the track together.

Basically, the end of the clip that is like button should be facing down. I would check that the track layout lines up okay as to not to overstress the track joints. Also, unless I'm mistaken you should be able to use four connection track clips per track joint.

The clips you pictured will work on any Carrera track. Old or new. They were originally black in color, but the last few years they were made, they changed to orange. This is significant, because the black ones work better than the orange. They do lock the track together better than the new style sticks, particularly if you can find the black ones. I use them in problematic areas of my track.
