The best way of seeing 'our' (Bruno Bisenius') wooden routed track is go to the Facebook page for Confolens Slot Racing Club and scroll down to 25 September 2018. There's a video shot by Jean-Mi of the first laps run after we completed braiding one lane. The track was rescued from down near Bordeaux and has been extended because of the long room it's in. 17m main straight

The aim is to run the Sept. 2019 Sunday 6H de Confolens on it, in conjunction with a warm-up race Saturday (as before) but also a swap meet. As you can see we've got the room! Where it's housed is, I gather, the old school where Bruno first taught. Look at the solar panels, we won't be short of power! 16350 Champagne Mouton.

Pictures and videos by Julien Touya from this postponed National Vintage meeting at Bordeaux are here https://www.facebook...46770691&type=3

Watch for Laurent Flier's tiny 1:24 surf board buggy; he actually raced the darned thing... and finished respectably well up the field!

Normally, all the pics are posted on the Bordo Facebook page. Hasn't happened so far. Hopefully they will be soon. I want to show Ronnie that little Beach Buggy

There are a few Neuvics around, according to my GPS this one is 43 kms away (south-east from here) and 1 hr drive. I went in 2011, I think. They had lots of optimistic plans at the time and these are now taking shape.

What date in September 2019 are you looking at for the 6 hour race? What classes and what rules please?

I would consider an hour and a half plus to get to a club whereas two and a half to Bordeaux for an evening is just too much so may well be interested provided it isn't all just plastic and RTRs. Keep me informed

If you're talking about the 6h Confolens Classic, it's on Sunday 29 September with the warm-up race the Saturday afternoon/evening. Sunday is a team race. The 2018 regs. are here; I don't expect they'll change for this year.

2019 wil be the first race on France's longest wooden routed track, near Confolens at 16350 Champagne-Mouton. You can see the 'jolly green giant' elsewhere on CSRC's Facebook page, if you've followed the link above.

We have talked about this for several years now, a second trip to Bordeaux always looked inviting and this year we have taken the plunge and will be at the VEC National on 7/8th December, so far me, Peter Emery and Eddie Grice are all booked and I think Mark Webster may be coming as well. Looking forwards to it.
