If you take a look at Post #32, you'll see Scale Auto lists the maximum wheelbase as 112mm while the Bentley is 115mm wheelbase.
The SA chassis will go out to 115mm wheelbase, perhaps even longer. If you look on this forum, I have build photos from my car using that chassis. It may be listed as Braha Bentley.
And my question is from 2019, not this year.

Ah. Seems I missed the mee-mo about the Gallery function being turned off at source. Fingers crossed that I can master attaching a file to this post.

All things being equal, then, here's that photo of my Braha sitting, precariously and very temporarily, on its Scaleauto Home Series Chassis.

Can't wait like most people for return of Clubs re opening. I'm in to 1/24 as we run them at North Staffs, mostly Scaleauto's, however in the last 18 months I've built up 3 new cars to add to my original Scaleauto.

Autumn 2019 (and only raced twice) I used a new Scaleauto Audi R8 body, I made the plunge and bought a Slotfabrik chassis, fitted it out with an MB Slot 22k motor (our club motor limit) Scaleauto Pro Comp 3's and hard fronts, Carbon front axle, Sigma rear axle and JP gearing and a set of ball bearings from Slotpoint.

Early 2020 I used my existing Scaleauto BMW Z4 body, this time I used a new Pace 55 full suspension chassis kit from Slotpoint, Sigma axles, ball bearings again from Slotpoint, again same wheels & tyres as Audi, fitted a used NSR 21.4K (though just fitted same new motor). In the one race night it's done it's so far quicker than the Audi.

The third car I've spent the most time on is a Carrera 1/24 BMW M1, now kitted out with Frankenslot running gear, currently a 20k short can motor in place of 18D, full suspension on motor pod, ball bearings all round, some small rimmed Pro Comp 3's just added, much sanding of chassis to get body to float and new Solid Lexan int. Probably gone overboard with this one.

hi All

I am starting to dip my toes on the 1/24 gt3 world.

I have been collecting different scale auto cars with the metal chassis.

Now I got one of the new porsche with the home plastic chassis.

I notice that these home versions come with plastic wheels and a guide that is very similar to 1/32.

Just curious: what are the spec that you guys use? I am running on carrera and I am going for the oXigen route (although this last bit does not really matter).

If I go for the plastic home chassis (Pendle sells it by itself), what do you recommend in terms of guide, wheels, rubber/sponge, motor, gearing?

Do I need to buy any extra bits (suspensions, body fixing, etc)?

I want to run magless of course.

Sorry if asking too many questions. If you want I can start a new thread.

Thanks.

Crusader

thanks for posting these pics.

I have now more questions...but one in particular: at Staff, for the gt3 class, any chassis is allowed? Do they perform similarly?

I mean, the slotfabrik chassis should leave the SA chassis in the proverbial dust.

Our 1/24 class is open except for 22k motor limit as fitted as standard in the Scaleauto's, mostly everyone uses the Scaleauto RT2? Metal chassis, there have been a couple of the S/Auto HS plastic chassis, the younger members use club old Carrera's, there has been a Plafit chassis and one member raced the latest Scaleauto 8000GT3 carbon/alloy chassis.

I like to be a bit different, the Slotfabrik I have only used twice, still learning with it, at the moment I can say it is a smoother easier chassis to drive fast compared with basic Scaleauto metal chassis which you have to wring it's neck so to speak. Am trying faster gearing than I would otherwise use on my Scaleauto as I think the chassis will take more speed.

Wicker Bill

Got most of my 1/24 stuff from Germany. Look up Slotpoint.de for the Solid interiors, they major on 1/24 and produce their own chassis, I.e. the Pace that I have in my BMW Z4.

I have used them 3 or 4 times now and I would therefore recommend them.

I might add the Slotfabrik chassis is not cheap, I thought long & hard before ordering one, all up the Audi R8 weighs approx 211g.

The Pace chassis (kit form) was half the price of the Slotfabrik chassis, all up the BMW Z4 weighs a shade over 190g and in the one race it's done it was quicker than the Slotfabrik albeit using different gearing, so still learning with both cars.

My original Scaleauto chassis now has a new Porsche body fitted along with some minor tweaks and gearing it for our tightest lane, have replaced the 22k Scaleauto motor for another NSR 21.4K purple wrap as it has more torque.

Thanks for the extra info. I am trying to get a sense of how a (digital) class with these cars can play out.

I like that the NSR 21.4K is also an option given that I have many laying around. So they can be used for a good cause. ;-)

Bill,
I have a Braha Corvette C6R. The windows are a black opaque plastic moulding, also there is no cockpit.

I also have a Braha Lambo, which has clear Windows and a detailed cockpit. It's also very low.

Neither car has been converted yet.
