It looks like Racer Sideways is putting out their Ford GTE. Here are some shots they posted on Facebook...

For me, I'm still waiting for the Ferrari 488, but at least they are putting some cars out. That's saying something these days.

Plenty of liveries over the four years project. Loved the heritage colours last year at Le Mans and of course they ran as Castrol and Motorcraft in the states. Shame there was only one independent, but it looked fantastic in the flesh, the #85 Wynns car was removed of its class win for a minor infringement of the fuel capacity from memory.

Still no sign if this is coming, anyone know anything ?

Hmmm. I'm not sure the Ferrari is happening. Period.

A good few months back, in emails with Chris (Sideways) identifying bits I was missing from my M6 kits, I drew the conclusion that I really shouldn't hold my breath for the Fezza. He wasn't explicit. He was vague. I read between the lines and decided he was managing my expectations.

And I don't like Ferraris.

But his cars run soooo well, I'd take a Racer Ferrari from Chris, for sure.

I just don't think I'll get the chance.😕

Why the brands wait to long to release a model?... Im not buying the Ford Gt nor the 488,as I have already tuned some Carrera Slots with 3dp chasis and they race fair enough(they are competitive enough vs Scaleauto and Nsr).

The Ford Gt should have been released two or three years ago. Of course I like Sideways/Racers models, but in this particular case I guess they waited to long.

They made a good move with the Lambo and the BMW M6, should move fast to other model, like the new C8R.

Cheers

I am temped to go the carrera route myself for my local GT3 series. It is a lot of work to bring the body to an acceptable weight but maybe is the only way.

I have done the M6 (Carrera body, pro speed chassis and pod) and it goes really nice.

The Ford GT is not a GT3 car but I might one from sideways just for the heck of it!

Yes, my rumour source is, I think, at least six months old and since then... tumbleweed.

GDSlot, I don't think the brands are slow for giggles. Sideways, I believe, are a small, small operation, working as fast as they can and I suspect attempting to get a Ferrari clone out without litigation is a tough exercise. Possibly ultimately futile. Sadly. I'd not exactly blame Carrera (licence holders) if they tipped off the legal department in Maranello once they heard of Racer's plans.

Well now thats a problem, lawyers, branding, etc. But thats precisely why slot brands should move to another model if the planned (for example the 488), is hard to get in the market.

Anyway lets hope the GT and 488 are up to the expectation just like the Lambo and the M6... The liveries is the key that might just boom the Slot car to the sky in sells.

Is there something that you like Wankel? ;-)

Back on topic, Black Arrows still produces the 458. Scaleauto does not use for some of them the original names of their GT3s.

So there is a way around the licensing...I hope.

Luc, could you post here or PM me the link to the forum where you read this, please?

I do not read french but Google is my friend.
