Um - will they or won't they. Phil Smith said from a reliable source they won't but.....? I happen to know someone who went to a hornby presentation day last Thursday and saw these and the lister up close and personal - I could spill the beans but GS have first refusal on the details.

Hey there!

Long time no post, new job has kinda taken over my life. Still get along to Farnham when I can and recently went to Bowlextric for the first time. Wonderful Routed 6 laner, check it out if you can.

Right back on topic, they don't lean. They used to but now they don't. Bit like a born again biker

Shame. They are still going to be rather good though I think.

The Lister is rather spectacular. Myself and 47 lucky others got see / touch the prototype at the NSCC Hornby weekend at the end of last year. I can't wait to see it in the flesh.

In fact there is rather a few Scalextric releases I am looking forward to this year, especially the Dodge Viper as I have a canny feeling it will hit the stores before the new Fly offering.

That's Bolwextric, Wankel, and I agree with Slik, fantastic track!

Just to chip in my 2p worth on the "will they/won't they lean" debate.

Why do you think Hornby have re issued banked bends? Make things lean, don't they?

Nuro, if you and/or Swiss are over for the toyfair and have Friday night free, perhaps you'd like to come and have a go on the Bolwextric track(s).

You might have to keep ducking with that bloody logo flying around the room like that though!

QUOTE Anyone running a book on how long it will take someone to sneak over to SCI and post it as if discovered by self?

Can I take that as being a reference to me?
Image

To be honest I was waiting for somebody else to post at SCI and monitoring the situation before I went ahead and provided a link. It only seems to be me, Tropi, Mecoprop and Intergrale (and only in my threads in Intergrale's case) posting there these days but no matter. Why do I get a sense that some folk are constantly in my shadow following me around?
Image

SCI has taken on a more American feel recently although folk do still need help with issues that they have and some of the Slotforum members, dare I say, are possibly better qualified to provide an answer than the aforementioned. And surely our fellow enthusiasts in the Americas are deserving of newsflow?

Just thought I would mention that I made reference to the USA seeing the new site late afternoon in my SCI post before it got a mention here as it seems to be "have a go at Moped" time!

Time to get back to "Challenger" and set up a new challenging circuit. Noting the comment earlier about "banked curves" that is probably the only thing that is going to fool this cunning little car! I wonder how the MotoGP bikes will perform against it?
Image

And as for Challenger's flashing lights. Remember that folk generally will leave Challenger on the circuit to avoid a learning session. Challenger could get stamped on as a result and I suspect the flashing lights are a warning to Mum and Dad to walk around Challenger rather than over it!

I have set my PC date to the 29th. What does "Horah!" mean? That is a good question 550rs.

I don't think things are going to happen until somebody at Hornby presses the launch button and pops open the champagne corks later today.

However will it be champagne or high caffein concentrate coffee served up in Margate tonight I wonder?
