Thank you all, did some more light sandy brown and white highlightning an it looks much better now. Result will be posted soon. On the second hand the photo was a bit too dark, too. I will try to make a better one next time.

@ 90sF1kid: Drilled, scewed through the tracksurface and plastered in the end. Glueing would not have been enough as I forced the track into position roughly ... sometimes already breaking ... no part of the whole track would have allowed just a bit more bending without breaking

ZITAT(Slots-O-Fun @ 8 May 2012, 14:36) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Great work Jens. Did you use rock molds? Which brand?

Thank you all for your positive feedback!

@slots-o fun: I used a styrofoam rock from NOCH.de, covered with latex-milk many times to get a mold of latex after all. Put into a bed of sand and filled with relatively liquid plaster you get multiple cheap and durable rocks...

Hi freaks,

some little scenery (at least the beginning of it) to keep you updated. Rocks look much better now in my opinion, thanks again for the tips. Hope you enjoy.

ZITAT(4.3 ZOOK @ 14 May 2012, 02:54) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>...Jens ,What material did you use for the larger expanses of grass?...

Hi everybody, thank you for your nice feedback!

@Zook: I used the Faller "Grass-fix" with 1:1 mixture of static grasses from heki (#3368 and #3370). Grass can be electrified with a used plasticbottle (e.g. ex-window-cleaner-bottle), too. Blown on the gluecovered surface with the same bottle the effect is as good as the one of the grass-fix. Pressed gently with the fingers here ans there it gives a realistic effect. As the used grass-fibre is relatively long (about 6mm) it fits the 1/32 scale well.

Regards Jens

Great work, and fast progress, well done.

Great work Jens. The static grass looks great. I have to start figuring out how I will build one of those machines!

Don't buy it. Build it own your own. There a lot of videos on the internet how to do it. Looks easy. The original grasmasters are very expensive! I'll build one too when I get so far with my track when I need the upstanding gras.

@Jens, great job. Un****ing fassbar

...yes, expensive, thats what they really are when bought new! I Had a chance to buy a used one. Someone told the selfbuild to be as good as the bought ones! Worth the try if no used is available. Thanks for your comments! Regards Jens
